Chennai, India, October 10, 2025: South Korean mobile accessories manufacturer Ringke has started the construction of its international production facility in Chennai, marking a pivotal moment in the company’s global expansion strategy. The state-of-the-art manufacturing plant, strategically positioned near Foxconn’s operations in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, will underscore the brand’s commitment to India’s burgeoning electronics manufacturing ecosystem.
The facility represents Ringke’s comprehensive transformation from an import-dependent model to a robust manufacturing hub capable of serving 26 countries worldwide. Having commenced adapter production in 2024, the company is now planning to scale operations to encompass its complete product portfolio, including premium phone cases and advanced charging solutions.
“This establishment is bound to position India as Ringke’s global manufacturing nerve center,” stated K. Senthil Kumar, Country Head of Ringke India. “We are fundamentally restructuring our business model, transitioning from traditional importers to international exporters, thereby contributing significantly to India’s manufacturing renaissance.”
Once completed, the Chennai facility will produce Ringke’s acclaimed iPhone 17 protective case series, including the military-grade Fusion X with transparent backing, the minimalist Onyx featuring fingerprint-resistant matte finish, and the technologically advanced Fusion Magnetic designed for seamless MagSafe compatibility. Additionally, the plant will manufacture the innovative GaN 3-Port Fast Charger, representing cutting-edge charging technology with superior efficiency and compact design.
Ringke’s product range emphasizes durability without compromising aesthetic appeal. The Silicone series offers soft-touch comfort in vibrant colorways with microfiber lining, while the ultra-transparent Fusion Clear maintains the device’s original design language. For extreme conditions, the Rugged Gear series provides comprehensive protection against drops, dust, and moisture.
This strategic positioning within Tamil Nadu’s electronics corridor leverages the state’s skilled workforce and robust infrastructure. The initiative exemplifies the successful implementation of the Make in India program, demonstrating how international brands can establish sophisticated manufacturing operations while contributing to local economic development and technological advancement.
